Flyfishing for pike |

Last Sunday me and Uffe went for this years first fishing trip in the Nynäshamn archipelago. 
We started the day with an hour or so of flyfishing for Sea Trout but none of us were successful in catching any Trout. However we did get to see another fisherman beeing lucky enough to catch a nice silvery one that weighted 3.1 kg. When we decided to change tactics to go for the Pike instead we both felt that we probably would be more successful. After a couple of hours of fishing without result I suddenly managed to trick a couple of small Pikes to have a go at my favourite pike fly (The Mad Dog fly). I managed to catch two of them. Unfortunately that was the only fish caught during the first fishing trip of 2008. But as always, it was really nice to finally have a day of fishing. Lets hope that there will be plenty more of them during 2008. |
