Elmerfishing.com - a lot of years on the Internet!

Since the release of the first version of the elmerfishing web in 2001, it has had different looks during the years. We've had several major releases of it from 2001 until today.

Version 1.0

The first version of the elmer web was done by Roger and Ulf helped and did the Elmer logo. By this time we had not registred the elmerfishing.com domain and the webb was published a at free web hosting service. Already then we had both EFC and photo section.

Version 2.0

In the fall of 2002 Ulf volenterd to do the next version of the web. Now we had registred the domain name and Ulf did the whole web in Macromedia Flash. In this version we put more focus generally on flyfishing than on the club. Sections such as fishing trips, flytying and the chefs corner was introduced.

Version 3.0

Just after the summer of 2004 the next release was introduced. Ulf was still the webmaster and had turned back to a HTML based web. We now started a whole section for outdoor living that Björn was responsible for, flytying section was increased and a section for articles was started.

Version 4.0

The current version. Based on Joomla content management system, with a propper publishing functionality, rights based, forum, entomology etc. elmerfishing.com has now become one of the best (in our opinion) portals surrounding flyfishing out there!

Our goal from here on is to create a flyfishing community with 100 % english translation where people outside the elmer members can contribute with articles abotu anything releated to flyfishing. The development of Elmerfishing.com will continue and exactly where it will go in the long run is hard to say, but we will always keep developing it towards beeing the natural flyfishing portal for flyfishermen from sweden and the rest of the world.
