Mikael "blue dun" Gröndahl is a guy in his 30's, a father of two who lives in Örby outside Stockholm Sweden with his kids and his girlfriend. He runs his own company "BlueDun Constructions AB" which installs safty doors into peoples homes.

Mikael has fished after pike for more than 25 years and 2003 he started flyfishing and at the same time started tying flies. For the last two years he has really gotten recognition for his amazing baitfish patterns and it has started to show that fly tying is his great passion! He says himself that he loves fly tying materials of all kind and he need to try any new material that he gets his hands on, his every fly fishing store's wet dreams!

When asked about his inspirations Mikael says. "About three years ago I joined one of Swedens leading flyfishing / fly tying forums. There I met several good fly tiers, among others Ulf Hagström and Leif Örtenholm. These tyers and what they did inspired my a lot!". These days Mikael is the one that inspire others with his great flies! The past two Swedish fly shows Mikael has tied for Stockholms flugfiske center, and all that has visited have surely rememberd Mikael and is flies.

Outside fly fishing and fly tying Mikaels biggest interest is music, he's a real funklover! And he also has a big interest in Ales and stouts from around the world!

Below is just a small selection of Mikael's amazing baitfish patterns. He tied both large and small baitfish patterns, ment for both pike and sea trout aswell as perch and big brows also! He does a great line of tube flies which combines classoi salmon fly looks with modern zonker designs!
